Touch Sensitive Image Projectors

projectortouchscreen_01Hopefully, you have seen the film Minority Report, where Tom Cruise has those special gloves to interface with a giant screen in front of him. To this day, I still want the computer he was using.

A company called Funai has developed similar technology with a projector that can actually recognize the user’s finger movements.

So, like Tom Cruise, you can make gesturing for rotating, zooming, and flicking through projecting images. Apparently, it uses a special new sensor for this technology.

Gyrowheel Gyroscopic Bicycle wheel makes Training Wheels a thing of the past

I never thought I would see the day when the basic concept of learning how to ride a bike could be improved. Then along comes technology and utterly blows my thought process away.

TXTBlocker hopes to block texting while driving

contactImgThe other day, my wife and I were watching the premiere of Trauma. There was a guy behind the wheel texting to someone. Considering the amount of press that texting while driving has been getting lately, I knew what was next.

Sure enough, there was an accident caused by this careless man. Oddly enough, I wanted this texting while driving guy (which I’m sure was his character’s name on the credits) to die. Yes, from the moment I saw this character texting while driving, I hated him.

It didn’t matter if this man was the most unselfish man in the world. As it was, the man was sending a sexually suggestive text message. However, it wouldn’t have mattered if that message was for his wife, and this man was the most faithful married man in the world. I wanted this man to be killed in the accident, and I will have to admit that I was disappointed that it never happened.

You may think of me as ruthless, and I understand. I have heard so much press about texting while driving, that I look at texting drivers like the eighties looked at druggies.

In short, texting behind the wheel is “bad”. In most states, it is banned, or going to be banned.

Fortunately, there is now some software that will stop people from doing it. It is called TXTBlocker, and it can be installed on phones to prevent texts, emails, and even calls from going out, if the phone is traveling over 5 miles per hour.
