Motion Mimicking Robotic Pugilists

77374Did you ever play that Rock ‘em Sock ‘em Robots when you were a kid? If you haven’t, it used no electronics, but two players would face off against each other and then punch the other until a special spot is hit to make the robot’s head pop up.

Yeah, good times. Now you can take your robo-boxing game to another level with two robots with infrared controllers built-in. Think of it as boxing on the WiiSports, but with a model there.

All an opponent has to do is hit the chest four times, and the match is won. Of course, it takes 8 AA and eight AAA batteries. Whoa.

You should be able to get it for about $79.95 at the Hammacher Schlemmer site.
