The Empower Rocking Chair Generator

empower-rocking-chairHello again, dear readers, let’s discuss the inconvenience of technology for a moment. Of course, things such as iPods, laptops, flat screen television sets, stereo systems, DVD and Blu-ray players and game consoles are developed to fill our daily needs and entertain us, right? But it tends to be frustrating when you have to reconnect cords and adapters to a wall socket or USB port and recharge or replace batteries to keep these devices working. As a result, you end up spending less time being able to sit down in your favorite chair to enjoy them.

Well, a man named Ryan Klinger apparently also hated this problem, so he came up with a solution. He calls it the Empower rocking chair. This is a flat-pack chair made with tubes and a sling seat that can fold out like a bench-style glider seat. The rocking mechanism in the chair is hooked up to a gearbox, DC generator, voltage controller and lithium battery. These features enable the chair to generate kinetic energy that can be stored and used at a later time. Then the energy is converted to be usable with a DC/AC inverter and USB ports or wall socket outlets can be used to access the stored power.

So, this rocking chair is actually a power generator that creates its own juice to fuel your electronic devices when you sit in it and use the rocking mechanism. Such a new development can certainly provide more convenience by giving you more time to sit down. Thus, you can now enjoy your favorite gadgets longer before having to leave your seat. Unfortunately, current sources do not provide information on a price or release date for the device at this time. However, before buying the chair once it’s available, consumers should be wary that such a chair could lead to less exercise, which may not be a good thing.

Finally, A Real Guitar For The Music Game Experience

ForPress_Product2_REV_610x487

Hey there, gamers, some of you have spent time playing music games such as Guitar Hero and Rock Band in the last several years. Of course, these games have been popular because they give you the chance to play along with and listen to many of the classic hits of your favorite musical artists. However, this gaming experience isn’t perfect. Gamers are basically playing through a simulation with large, plastic controllers designed to look like guitars. But this lacks authenticity for playing music during a game.

For those of you who want more realism in your music game experience, Seven45 Studios is ready to grant your wish. This company is a game developer that originated from a professional musical instruments manufacturer called First Act, who specializes in making instruments for newer musicians at the beginner’s level. Today, Seven45 Studios announced their new creation called Power Gig: Rise of the Six String. It is a music game that uses real guitars for gameplay.
