Irreverent Reverence, Day 103: Causing Divisions
This is one of those posts where I like to talk about divisions in the church.

When facing the weekly routine of clocking hours on the job, doing chores at home and running errands to deal with bills and other affairs, going to a spa or sauna is a popular way for some people to relax and find escape from the stress of daily life. However, with regular work hours during the day and chores to do home in the evening, people usually only have time to visit a spa during the weekend, a holiday or day-off. Furthermore, driving out to a spa more than once tends to be less convenient, considering traffic and spending time in line with other customers to get your turn on a busy day. So, how about having your own personal spa in a specially-designed chair you keep at home?
This chair is called the Galatea SPA chair and the concept was designed by an industrial designer from Los Angeles named Verenice Macedo. The chair has a privacy dome with a laser touchscreen, which provides entertainment during your body massage. The Galatea features internet access, electronic books, television, a music player, etc and the chair is operated by voice command. With a voice recognition receiver and speakers located in the privacy dome, the chair can actually talk to the user and respond obediently to spoken instructions.
The Galatea SPA chair is made mostly of bamboo, while the dome is composed of aluminum with soft matte leather covering the seat and headrest. Currently, there is no information available about price or a release date for this new design. However, this personal spa chair definitely represents the growing trend of consumers to seek out more modern comforts to be placed in the convenience and privacy of their own home. The Galatea could be successful in the future as a luxury item.

Hello again, Star Wars fans, have you ever dreamed of having your very own holographic communication device? You know, those communication units with hologram projection on starships that you see in all the movies and on the Clone Wars cartoon. Well, now you can come closer to that dream with the next best thing, thanks to Uncle Milton Industries.
This toy company has developed another creative product of Star Wars memorabilia called the Holographic Animation Lab. It is a portable animation set designed to look like a holocom device from the Clone Wars cartoon. The set features ten animation discs, which have two sides on each one. The first side on the discs contain classic Star Wars characters while the other side is blank so you can create your own character designs.
However, this cool toy is currently available only through pre-order from Big Bad Toy Store. It is scheduled for release to general consumers later in the year and the cost is only $15.99. Of course, you won’t actually be able to generate hologram projection or send messages with it since real holocom technology doesn’t currently exist. Nevertheless, fans of the cartoon based on the Clone Wars series may enjoy the chance to do their own animations with this nifty toy.
